I am trying out the Nik Software Color Efex Pro 3.0 filters and processed a couple of photos with them as an experiment. The filters work as a plugin to Photoshop with a very neat interface.

The first picture, a shot from outside the Eliot Spitzer resignation, got a cross processing filter that I though was pretty cool. The second, a self-portrait, got a duotone filter and some film grain.

I kinda like them both.

I happened to find myself outside NY Gov. Eliot Spitzer's office this morning in Manhattan just before his resignation.

Fortunately, I had my Nikon D300 and Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens. I took some pictures of the media as they gathered, eagerly awaiting any sighting of the governor. I had to move on to a business meeting, but thought the scene was worth recording.
