pondscape
Submitted by farrell on Wed, 04/09/2008 - 11:56pm.I was in New York City today and decided to take a bit of time and travel up to Central Park for some HDR captures.
This is the first one I processed, looking toward the East Side from within the park. I shot this as I liked the water, building and gray sky together. Technically, I took 9 exposures on a tripod with 1EV difference between each and combined them in Photomatix. Then, processed in Photoshop and Lightroom.
winter scene
Submitted by farrell on Fri, 02/22/2008 - 6:37pm.We a nice bit of snow today in northern New Jersey. I've been wondering what HDR does to winter scenes, so I decided to give it a go.
This was shot with my Nikon D300 and 10-20mm Sigma lens. It's built from 5 separate exposures.

First HDR Attempts
Submitted by farrell on Tue, 01/22/2008 - 4:00am.OK, so I went out and shot a few HDR (high dynamic range) images this morning to properly try out my new Photomatix software. Each image is actually a combination of 5 separate shots, each with a 1 stop difference in exposure.
I've still got a lot to learn about HDR, but I'm pleased with the first results.
